What is SRC5 Certificate, ADR Certificate (ADR Driver Training Certificate)?

“ ADR Driver Training Certificate ” (known as SRC5 Certificate in Turkey), also known as ADR diploma in Europe , is a European-recognized qualification certificate that allows the transportation of dangerous goods within Europe.

ADR (SRC5 Certificate) certificate is mandatory for the driver of a vehicle carrying dangerous goods in quantities exceeding the exemption limits specified in ADR. The SRC5 Certificate you will receive from us has international validity. You can find a job and work for high wages in Europe.

Basic SRC5 Document; It is a document that must be obtained by vehicle drivers carrying dangerous goods or dangerous substances, whether commercial or non-commercial.

Drivers performing this type of transportation must obtain an SRC5 Certificate (ADR Certificate). Roadside Inspection Stations of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure are inspected by Gendarmerie, Police and Ministry of Finance officers and officials.

SRC5 Certificate (ADR Certificate) is the professional qualification certificate that drivers who carry out Dangerous Goods Transportation must obtain in accordance with the Road Transport Regulation, especially the Regulation on the Transport of Dangerous Goods on International Roads.

All candidates who attended the training in our institution  were successful (100% success).

Our SRC5/ADR Instructor, H. Gökhan Durmuş; He is one of Turkey’s first ADR trainers. He has been providing SRC5 Certificate Training extensively since 2013. All students who attended the SRC 5 Certificate Trainings were successful.

It is not necessary to have an SRC3 or SRC4 certificate to obtain the SRC5 Certificate, which is the Professional Competence Certificate that drivers working in the Dangerous Goods Transportation sector must obtain.

For “ Basic Training SRC5 ”  it is applied as 18+1 hours . SRC5 Certificate is valid for 5 years.

After taking the 9-hour ” SRC5 Renewal Training ” in the last year when your certificate expires, you must be successful in one of the exams until your certificate expires.

Some dangerous goods  need to be transported by TANKER  . Drivers who will transport dangerous goods by tanker must also obtain  ” SRC5 Certificate, Tanker Training ” after receiving “SRC 5 Basic Training”. Tank Training is 12+1 hours.  The exam consists of a total of 40 Questions.

In accordance with the ADR Agreement and the Regulation on the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and the DANGEROUS GOODS SAFETY CONSULTANCY AND DANGEROUS GOODS TRANSPORTATION DRIVER TRAINING REGULATION , SRC5 Certificate (ADR Certificate) is used in Dangerous Goods Transportation Driver Training;

  • Drivers of vehicles transporting dangerous goods/substances and
  • Those who want to become drivers in the field of dangerous goods transportation should participate.

SRC 5 – How to Obtain ADR Certificate?

ADR/SRC 5 Certificate is the professional qualification document that drivers who will transport dangerous goods must obtain.

  • There is no requirement to have one of the SRC3 or SRC4 documents in order to participate in SRC 5 Certificate training (removed in the Training Regulation dated 18.06.2022).
  • For the “Basic SRC 5 Certificate”, 19 hours of training must be completed and the exam to be held by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey must be successful.
  • The exam passing score is 60.

SRC 5 – ADR Certificate – What is the Purpose of Dangerous Goods Transportation Vocational Competence Training?

SRC5 Certificate (ADR) is given to the drivers of companies that transport dangerous goods by road both at home and abroad, in our Dangerous Goods Transportation Driver Trainings.

They are obliged to receive it in accordance with the ADR Agreement, Road Dangerous Goods Safety Consultancy and Dangerous Goods Transport Driver Training Regulation and the Regulation on the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road.

Accordingly, by providing SRC5 Certificate training, it is aimed to help drivers gain the qualification to have an SRC5 Certificate, to minimize errors and accidents, and to protect the environment.

ADR/ SRC5 Certificate Course (SRC5 Course)

SRC 5 – ADR Certificate training is given in our institution “KolaySRC Transportation Services Vocational Competence and Development Training”, which is a member of the ADRTÜRK Group, authorized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure with the Dangerous Goods Vocational Competence Training Authorization Certificate.

The documents required to apply for the ADR/SRC5 Certificate Basic Training are below and are sufficient:

What is the Content of SRC5 Course – ADR Certificate – Dangerous Goods Transportation Vocational Competence Training?

Basic SRC-5 Course – ADR Training consists of at least 19 lesson hours and includes at least the following:

  • General requirements for the transport of dangerous goods
  • Main types of hazards (Hazard Classes)
  • Information/issues to be questioned/requested regarding the protection of the environment during the inspection of waste transportation
  • Preventive measures and safety measures applicable to the types of hazards
  • What to do after the accident (first aid, road safety, basic information on the use of protective equipment, written instructions, etc.)
  • Use and features of marking, labeling, danger warning signs and orange plate
  • What the driver should and should not do during the transportation of dangerous goods
  • Operating methods and purposes of technical equipment in vehicles
  • Prohibitions on mixed loading in the same vehicle or container
  • Precautions to be taken during loading and unloading of dangerous goods
  • General information regarding legal responsibilities
  • Information on multimodal transport activities
  • Handling and stacking of packages
  • Traffic restrictions and behavioral instructions in tunnels (avoidance of accidents, safety, fire or other emergencies, etc.)
  • Safety awareness (especially regarding terrorist incidents)

What substances can be transported under the SRC5 Certificate?

Candidates who receive this training and pass the exam  can transport all of the following dangerous goods classes except class 1 and class 7.

1- Class 1  Explosive substances and objects (8 hours of Class-1 Explosives Transportation training is required)
2- Class 2  Gases
3- Class 3  Flammable liquids
4- Class 4.1  Flammable solids, self-reactive substances and solid explosives with reduced sensitivity
5- Class 4.2  Substances prone to spontaneous combustion
6- Class 4.3  Substances that release flammable gases when in contact with water
7- Class 5.1  Oxidizing substances
8- Class 5.2  Organic peroxides
9- Class 6.1  Poisonous substances
10- Class 6.2  Infectious substances
11- Class 7  Radioactive materials ( 8 hours of Class-7 Radioactive Material Transportation training is required)
12- Class 8  Corrosive substances
13- Class 9  Various dangerous substances and objects
